KEEPING TRACK

In 2014, SecureAlert became Track Group, following a series of industry changes and corporate growth. Track Group is a global leader in providing monitoring and tracking solutions, offering a combination of cutting-edge tracking technology and real-time analysis for a variety of industries, primarily in corrections and law enforcement. Designing World led the development of Track Group’s new brand, including custom web design and development, an entire suite of print collateral, and a series of presentations used to introduce the new brand to the company’s investors.

Tracking Development

The Designing World began by exploring branding concepts for the new Track Group name. Based on a bold red, black, and white color scheme, our initial explorations focused on Track Group’s world-class information technology and semi-industrial personality.

These initial designs incorporated many different “tracking” motifs, including compasses, map pointers, and suggestions of movement, combined with strong, bold typography.

Minimal Elegance

The Track Group brand is based on a powerful use of elegant white space, with the red and black of the logo providing a strong sense of authority and contrast. The red and black can also be used as background colors with striking results, as seen in the company’s new business cards.

Track Group’s logo is centered around on a red triangular motif, taking the place of the “A” in the Track Group name. This triangular shape extends throughout the brand as a way to visually emphasize images and photographs, telling the story of Track Group in a way that is emotional and focused on a powerful and robust technological framework.

The Power of Branding

The Designing World designed and built a comprehensive set of brand guidelines for the new Track Group identity, covering typography, colors, and imagery, as well as rules for creating a variety of print pieces, web pages, and presentation slides.

Dynamic Storytelling

The Designing World team worked closely with Track Group to design and develop the company’s new website from the ground up. Track Group is a leader in technological innovation, and the new website reflects the company’s aspirational outlook.

Utilizing the latest in web development techniques, the resulting site relies on a strong combination of imagery, video, and informative text to tell Track Group’s story in a personal, approachable way.

Setting the Stage

Track Group believes very strongly in the power of storytelling, and this is a passion the Designing World team shares. To tell Track Group’s story, Designing World’ video department developed, filmed, edited, and animated a series of videos featuring powerful interviews with Track Group’s management team. The DW’ 3D team built custom 3D models of each of Track Group’s range of products, creating a dynamic set of motion infographics to fully illustrate Track Group’s capabilities.

A Focus on Innovation

Designing World designed a wide range of print collateral for the new Track Group brand, including brochures for each of the company’s various tracking devices. Each brochure was developed to convey the device’s unique features and personality, while the brochures work together as a cohesive suite, creating a powerful family of print pieces based on beautiful product photography, a striking use of white space, and elegantly minimal typography.

Presenting Data

Designing World built a dynamic presentation to tell the new brand’s story at Track Group’s inaugural investor meeting. Utilizing powerful photography, stylized backgrounds, and animated charts and iconography, the presentation connects with its audience on an emotional level, telling the human story around which Track Group’s philosophy is centered.
