THE BUSINESS OF LEISURE

When the Brunswick Corporation regrouped and rebranded with an industry event at the New York Stock Exchange, they turned to Designing World to create a suite of dynamic collateral, ranging from print and presentation work to event banners and beyond.

Bowling, Boats, and Beyond

While Brunswick is known for its bowling franchises, a huge share of its business comes from boating and nautical engines. Accordingly, when the team at Designing World began work on Brunswick’s collateral suite, we built a versatile system based on elegant white space and light aquatic blues, subtly emphasizing the water while allowing the design to support all areas of Brunswick’s business.

We began with a financial factbook, drawing from Brunswick’s rich photographic archives and creating photo montages to demonstrate the range of Brunswick’s interests. This is supported by rich charts and infographics and an elegant use of typography, beautifully telling Brunswick’s story.

Elegant Visuals

Brunswick’s PowerPoint presentation is a natural continuation of the design guidelines we set up for the financial factbook. The presentation uses photography as an organizational system, with each branch of Brunswick receiving its own custom photomontage.

Brunswick’s photography throughout the presentation is supported by a versatile set of charts, infographics, and iconography, using visual repetition from slide to slide to reinforce the key facts.

Photographic Impact

Brunswick’s event at the New York Stock Exchange was a visual feast for the eye, featuring eleven floor-to-ceiling banners, each with a different photomontage. Brunswick enjoys a rich heritage of leisure activities and beautiful imagery, and, with these oversized banners, the Brunswick lifestyle becomes the star of the show.
